Breathtakingly beautiful Red Bud trees are covered with masses of rosy-pink blossoms in spring, followed by dark, glossy green heart-shaped leaves. Autumn foliage is golden yellow. Will reach 15-25'. Very fast growing. Drought tolerant. Plant in full to partial sun. We ship sturdy 1-2' hand selected dormant bareroot trees.
American Redbud
The Red Bud is the first tree to bloom in spring. Deep, rosy-pink flowers appear in late April in dense masses and they are followed by lovely, dark, glossy-green heart-shaped leaves. Red Buds will reach 15-25' -- very fast-growing. Easily cultivated, but prefers sandy loam, so if soil is heavy, mix in sand and/or peat moss when planting. We ship 2-3’ nursery grown trees.
