Named for it's lobed foliage that has soft spines on it, Bear's Breeches is prized for it's striking maroon and white flowers on upright 36-48'' stems in early to mid-summer. The plants spread 30-36'' across and grow best in partially shaded areas of the garden. They make excellent companions for hostas. Attractive to hummingbirds and deer resistant.
