Cardinal Flower
Sensational bright red flowers on upright spikes in mid to late summer put on a show in moist to wet areas of the garden where most plants will not grow. A perfect perennial for areas near a pond or along a stream. Hummingbirds and butterflies will not leave this 2-3' plant alone. This low maintenance perennial grows in sunny to partially shaded areas and will reseed itself under optimum conditions. Space 12-24'' apart.
