How Triple UnderSink Ceramic Filter works: Water travels through multiple stages of filtration: In stage 1, water flows through a solid carbon cartridge for removing volatile organic carbon compounds (VOC's), insecticides, pesticides and industrial solvents. In stage 2,water flows through a ceramic filter , designed to remove harmful bacteria, such as e.coli, fecal coli form, salmonella, streptococcus, and cysts ( cryptosporidium, giardia ). Also filters sediment down to 0.5 micron. In stages 3-8 water travels through a 6-stage cartridge designed to remove hundreds of contaminants from water (if present). Filter consists of 1 micron pad, Eagle Redox Alloy 6500 and 9500 (similar to KDF, a mix of copper and zync), GAC granular activated carbon, ion exchange resin, and another 1 micron pad. Flow rate is 0.75 to1 gallon per minute * Connects to any kitchen faucet. * A diverter valve switches between filtered and unfiltered water. * Adjustable spout for more convenience. * Designed in an attractive white housing.
