Fig Tree

This plant goes back through the ages as the first fruit recorded in the Bible and referred to over 50 times throughout it. Fig leaves covered Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Fruit ripens in July and is very sweet, delicious, good sized, firm and meaty. Excellent for jams, canning, drying or eating fresh. Plants often bear the first year after planting. Makes a shapely, small tree 6-8' tall. Glossy green leaves on spreading branches make our Biblical Fig a great ornamental. Zones 5-10.
