Fragrant Sweetbox
This shade loving broad leaf evergreen fills the garden with sweet fragrance in late winter and early spring with its unique flowers. The rich green foliage is ornamental year round, providing a welcome addition to partially shaded to fully shaded areas where most shrubs will not grow. Late season dark red to black berries are ornamental as well. Adaptable to most soils including dry ones, Disease and deer resistant. Grows 2-3' tall and 3-4' wide.
