President Canna
Our most popular blazing red Canna! The President Cana has giant, long-lasting, torch-like blooms that glow as if lighted with an inner fire of dazzling brilliance. The blooms are produced in great profusion from early summer until frost. The President Cana plant has immense flower clusters on husky 4-5 foot stems produce a blazing floral display. Lush giant green leaves add an exotic tropical effect. Heavy 2-3 eye roots.Note: Cannas can be grown anywhere however are only winter hardy in zones 8-11. In zones 3-7 treat as a tender bulb and lift prior to first frost and store in 40-50 degree area. Cut down to 3”; start to water in late winter/early spring to promote new growth and replant after last frost in the spring.
