Enjoyed by Thomas Jefferson at Monticello, this long-lived plant gets its name from the slightly volatile gas that is present in its foliage. When the foliage is crushed, it emits a citrusy fragrance. The beautiful flowers are produced in abundance on strong 24-30 stems throughout the summer. Grows in full sun to partial shade and is deer resistant. Zones 3-7.
