Exotic white flowers with bursts of yellow and purple layers! Aside from the striking flowers, this unusual plant possesses evergreen sword-like foliage and blooms that last from May to September. Hailing from Africa, Butterfly Iris are hardy in zones 8-11, but can also be grown in containers in the north or dug up before first frost and overwintered in peat at 45 degrees F. Also known as Fortnight Lily and African Iris. Grows in full or partial sun approximately 2-4' tall and wide. Can be grown in moist, well-drained soil or boggy areas.
